The Seek Society has a philosophy, one that is shared by a great community of earth appreciators across the globe. It is simple, we are merely custodians of this planet for future generations to come. As such, the more we care for, nurture and protect the earth daily the more earth aware we become. There are so many fabulous organisations, not for profits and individuals flying the earth aware flag out there. We want to help connect The Seekers to these organisations, and help you become further involved with the causes you care most about. Here are a few of our favourite earth aware organisations, and some further information on how you can become involved within the community:
The ‘Take 3’ message is simple: take 3 pieces of rubbish with you when you leave the beach, waterway or… anywhere and you have made a difference.
Marine debris, particularly plastic, has a disastrous impact in our oceans on marine life and, ultimately, us. We can greatly reduce the amount of marine debris in our oceans by preventing it from getting there in the first place! Take 3 encourage people to Refuse disposable plastic, Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle and Respond by picking up rubbish.
We want to educate the world about this complex problem by inspiring simple actions.
Take 3 won the inaugural “Taronga Conservation Society Green Grant” in 2011 and has since grown from a grass-roots organisation to a global voice on marine debris. Are you ready to help Take 3 reach the world? We encourage you to share your story on social media and inspire others to #Take3fortheSea.
Remember: Pick it up. Bin it. #Take3forthesea and you will make a difference!

WWF’s mission is to halt the degradation of our planet’s natural resources and preserve our life-support system – the environment. By doing things smarter, they aim to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, preserving biodiversity so that we all benefit and enjoy our most precious gift. The Earth. WWF works on the ground for direct conservation, as well as through innovative partnerships to promote advocacy and develop high-level policies that achieve specific environmental goals. They also work to make business and industry more sustainable, improve the lives of people, and protect nature and biodiversity for the long-term benefit of all.
WWF takes a two-pronged approach to meeting its goals and missions: by focusing on conserving critical areas and on protecting critical species that are particularly important for their habitat or for people. WWF is also working to reducing humanity’s ecological footprint – the amount of land, water and other natural resources needed to supply our food, building materials and fuels, and to absorb our carbon dioxide emissions.
There are many ways that you can help WWF. The truth is, none of their work or achievements – helping to save endangered wildlife, habitats and communities around the world – would be possible without you, the supporters.
